About Monali

Monali Baker of Texas has been named America’s Teen Sweetheart 2022 crowned by her predecessor Elisha Joy Danzik,  America’s Teen Sweetheart 2022. This Texas girl has a big heart and is determined, hard-working, and passionate. Monali’s mission is to better her community and self through education and volunteering throughout her reign and life.

Monali,18, is a freshman college student at Kettering University double majoring in mechanical engineering and business with her heart set on launching her own company that develops and manufactures toys, tools, and technology for those with disabilities to use. Monali continues her advocacy and service through her Beauty Empowering Change Project entitled Positive Living. Her project Positive Living is her life's work as she mentors and leads other youth on how to live and maintain a positive, healthy and productive lifestyle. Monali also enjoys volunteering, dancing, and swimming. She is the recipient of the Girl Scouts Bronze and Silver Awards and former President of her 4-time award-winning high school Robotics Team. Monali is also a part of Girls Inc.’s Eureka! program, a 5-year STEM-based program and graduated with honors, top 14% of her high school class. In 2021, Monali placed 1st runner-up at America’s Teen Sweetheart competition. 

As America’s Teen Sweetheart, Monali is awarded a cash scholarship of $2500, prizes, travel,  scholarship, and media opportunities valued at $10,000. She will serve as an ambassador for Beauty Empowering Change, The Sweetheart Foundation, Sweethearts for St. Jude’s benefiting St. Jude’s Children Research Hospital, Charity: Water, Angel Tree, American Heart Association, Special Olympics, Feeding America, and other charitable efforts.  Monali will have many opportunities such as two modeling contracts, numerous professional photoshoots, magazine covers, media interviews, and New York Fashion Week.
