Elisha Joy Danzik Crowned America's Teen Sweetheart 2021


Elisha Joy Danzik, 17, Colorado, was named the first-ever America’s Teen Sweetheart. Born in Hawaii, this Colorado girl has been breaking the status quo from the young age of six when she began public speaking. Her mission is to encourage and empower young women like her to embrace every ounce of who they are, welcome authenticity with unabashed grace, and inspire women who step into their “royal identity”.

Elisha Joy is ushering in a new era of pageantry inspiring today's youth to bring the vision of the America’s Teen Sweetheart to fruition making history for the girl next door with a heart of gold. The prestigious award is the first of its kind, as a purpose-driven extension of the America’s Miss Sweetheart Scholarship Pageant, designed to help set sensational young women on a path to success and service.

As the first-ever America’s Teen Sweetheart, Elisha Joy receives an unparalleled prize package, including a 5-year renewable scholarship to Moravian University valued up to $29,000 per year for undergraduate or graduate degree and a $2500 cash scholarship to kickstart her collegiate career come 2022, two modeling contracts and numerous photoshoots and prizes.

Growing up Elisha Joy fell in love with dance, acting, and musical theatre, which led her to the prestigious Joffrey Ballet School’s Intensive Program in New York. Her passion for dance swiftly turned to purpose as she took up an internship as a student-teacher at Turning Pointe School of Dance in 2019.

Over the years, Elisha Joy has blossomed into a notable content creator, model, author, actor, dancer, and podcast host dedicated to making the world a better place and inspiring others to impact their communities. Elisha Joy wears many hats, but her values and goals remain consistent across all platforms and passions. In her podcast "The Royal You”, Elisha Joy talks to girls of all ages about the importance and power of self-respect, confidence, joy, and making a difference in the world one small act of bravery at a time. Renowned for her beaming smile, contagious laugh, and joyful spirit, Elisha Joy has cultivated an impressive social following to champion change for young women like herself.

At the age of 16, Elisha Joy published her first children’s book "Joy Becomes a Queen”, based on personal experience. Relatable, entertaining, and inspiring, “Joy Becomes a Queen” sends the powerful message that everyone is a queen regardless of height, weight, color, creed, or religion — and as queens it is time to step into their “Royal Identity” and embrace the power from within to change the world and inspire others.

Today, Elisha Joy works as a Bridal Stylist and Social Media Manager for the Something New Boutique in Colorado Springs, where she styles women for weddings, pageants, proms, galas, and everything in between. The youngest stylist hired in 15 years, Elisha Joy has served over 1,000 customers in under a year and works relentlessly to build the boutique's social presence across all platforms.

Passionate about making a difference, Elisha Joy commits a significant amount of her time volunteering as a mentor, teacher, and helper to organizations such as Hawaii Recreation and Parks Society, LifeNetwork, Hope and Home Foster Care, and Compassion International. Her servant's heart is seen in everything she does, but perhaps her most impactful contribution has been to help eliminate bullying in schools across the nation. Elisha Joy has shared the message of anti-bullying to over 500 kids through purpose-driven presentations at various schools, encouraging kids of all ages to stand up for one another, and lead in love. As the America’s Teen Sweetheart titleholder, Elisha Joy will volunteer her time to help fundraising efforts for organizations such as Angel Tree, Feeding America, Charity: Water, St. Jude Children Research Hospital, American Heart Association, and much more.

As a student, Elisha Joy excelled, graduating high school at 16 with an impressive GPA of 3.8. While still young in her academic career, Elisha Joy is thrilled and honored to attend the American Musical Dramatic Academy (AMDA) in New York City on a talent scholarship come June 2022. No stranger to pageantry has won numerous awards for her optimistic and engaging personality, and commitment to kindness in all circumstances. As she prepares to take her next steps out into the world, Elisha Joy seeks to encourage, empower, and inspire the women around her and create the change she would like to see on campus for her and her classmates.
