As we've wrapped up 2021 and start prepping for state pageants and the national pageant draft, let’s take a minute to go over the values of the America’s Miss Sweetheart Organization! These three sweet core values with a meaningful mission will lead you to a meaningful crown.
1. Body Positivity - Everyone is “Born Beautiful”, no matter your height, weight, or curl pattern. Every woman should feel comfortable in her own skin, however, 4 out of 5 women are unsatisfied with their appearance. This statistic needs to change, so America’s Miss Sweetheart won’t stop pushing for self-love until every woman sees her beauty.
2. Leadership - We are all about making an impact that is not based on likes, but based on visible change within your community. Sweethearts are here to change the way beauty queens are seen. Us queens aren’t just pretty faces, but full of heart and brain. Our generation is full of thinkers, leaders, and philanthropists. Because “who runs the world? Girls!” ~Beyoncé
3. Service - At America’s Miss Sweetheart, charity is our heartbeat. We get involved in our community in a multitude of ways. Whether it’s working a food pantry, collecting monetary donations for our favorite charities, or buying gifts for those in need, a sweetheart loves to help her community.
As Coretta Scott King once said, “The greatness of a community is most accurately measured by the compassionate actions of its members.” So let’s take these values of Body Positivity, Leadership, and Service and show the world what women can do when they are empowered to be their true selves.
